Grant Burton, MDPediatric Cardiovascular Disease
Grant Burton, MD, received degrees from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in Molecular Biology and Spanish Literature. He then graduated from the Chicago Medical School before returning to Colorado for additional training. At the Children's Hospital of Colorado, he completed a residency in general Pediatrics followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Drawn by an interest in cardiac intensive care, he then pursued an additional year of training in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care. Following completion of training, he continued as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado in the Cardiac Unit. In 2012, Dr. Burton relocated to Medical City Children's Hospital in Dallas, TX. Here, he continues to pursue research interests in Extra Corporeal Mechanical Circulation, Mechanical Ventilation, and Single Ventricle Physiology. Dr. Burton is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is married with two children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and waiting for the great comeback of the CU Buffaloes.
